Barcelona – March 2015
BeSpoon won the award of the Best Start-Up.
We were very proud to welcome the French Minister of State for the Digital Sector, Axelle Lemaire, at our booth at Mobile World Congress, and to receive our prize from Pierre Louette, Deputy CEO of France Telecom.
During his speech, BeSpoon CEO Jean-Marie André paid a tribute to the collaboration model of its research partner CEA LETI. “It is exceptional to meet people who have been working over a decade on a breakthrough technology and are ready to embark with you on a startup-like venture. We are very proud of the achievements of our joint lab. With its support, we have created a worldwide leader in Precise Position Tracking. This award is the acknowledgement that French research at its best can create fantastic startups!”

BeSpoon, a fabless semiconductor company that also offers system-level products and support, solved the problem of indoor position tracking with a proprietary chip that can track items or individuals to within a few centimeters. Developed in cooperation with CEA-Leti in Grenoble, France, the location process opens a vast range of opportunities for asset monitoring, precise indoor location, and ultimately the ability to keep track of all our belongings via our phones.
